Drivers Which Are Used in Platforms and Consoles

Installation of Drivers for games & Graphics Cards

How drivers are used on platforms?

Drivers are used to allow hardware to work with other hardware efficiently, for example your graphics card and your motherboard, drivers would need to be installed so that the graphics card could function properly, such as displaying an image correctly on screen and making sure the resolution is correct. For any piece of hardware to work with the system, they need to install drivers when the operating system loads up. Most motherboards and operating systems have drivers pre-installed onto the system so they can load up hardware straight away however these drivers are very simple and new more advanced hardware cannot fully benefit from them as they need more updated drivers.

I will be looking at three specific hardware devices which all need drivers for them to work with the motherboard, these are graphics cards, network cards & sound cards, all of which need drivers to fully work on a system.
